Treatments
I've tried everything and nothing has worked, will you be able to help me?
Yes — skin is complex. We're experts in all skin concerns and we've experienced every reaction you can imagine. You're in very safe hands. We'll support you along the way and we won't sell you anything you don't need.
My skin is sensitive — which facial should I have?
All products we use are fragrance-free. We successfully treat clients with very sensitive and highly reactive skin. We'll go through your allergies and reaction history during consultation and choose accordingly.
I'm pregnant — can I have a facial?
Absolutely — once you're past 12 weeks. Please book in for our pregnancy-safe facial. We'll adapt every step to be safe for you and baby.
I've got a cold sore — can I come for my facial?
Yes — we can move you onto a Dermalux LED treatment instead, which will speed up healing.
I've got active acne — can you help?
Yes, and we'd love to. Please book a consultation so we can take you through our acne treatment plan. We've helped many clients clear active acne — it's some of our favourite work.
I have scarring — can you help?
Scarring can be tricky. Lots of factors determine how successful treatment will be — depth, age of scar, skin type. Please book a consultation so we can walk you through realistic options.
I'm not sure which treatment to have.
Don't worry. If you have a specific concern or just want advice, please get in touch — we're happy to discuss. Or book in for a tailored consultation and we'll map a plan together.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
Ideally not for 24 hours, to maximise results. If you must, use mineral makeup that's gentle on the skin.

Where is the clinic?
Sworders Yard, North Street, Bishops Stortford, CM23 2LD. Five minutes' walk from Bishop's Stortford station, with parking on-site and at Northgate End car park.
Is there parking?
Yes — there's pay-and-display parking in Sworders Yard and at Northgate End car park. Both are within a 2-minute walk of the clinic.
Do you have a double treatment room?
Yes — perfect for treating two clients side-by-side. Bring a friend, family member, or partner. Just let us know when booking.
How early should I arrive?
Five to ten minutes before your appointment is perfect. The kettle's always on, we serve herbal tea and coffee, and you can settle in before your treatment.

How do I book?
Easiest is on Fresha — live availability, instant confirmation, automated reminders. You can also call 07903 395349 or email hello@thefacetonic.co.uk.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 50% of the appointment value.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes — available to purchase on our gift vouchers page. Redeemable on all treatments and valid for 12 months.
Can I pay in instalments?
For larger packages and Skin:RESET, yes — we offer 3-month interest-free instalment plans. Speak to us at consultation.
